With over 25 years’ experience in the luxury hotel barge industry, Rory and Caroline are specialists in creating beautiful and memorable cruises for you, your family, and friends along the water ways and canals of Burgundy, Cote d’or and Beaujoulais.
Our luxury barge can carry up to a maximum of six people, in glorious surroundings for a six night all-inclusive vacation. The barge cruises through the heart of Burgundy, France on the tranquil canals and scenic river Saone, where there are a crew of five waiting to take care of your every need. Each day the gourmet food is expertly prepared by Caroline, a qualified Corden Bleu chef, and all meals are paired with superb regional wine, most of which are Premier and Grand Cru.
Our most popular cruise along the Burgundy canal, leaves from St Jean de Losne to Pont d’ouche, with highlights such as a jeep drive through the vines, wine tasting in the famous cellars of Joseph Drouhin in Beaune, truffle hunting and tasting, lunches on shore at the spectacular Abbaye de la Bussiere and with a Grand Cru wine producer in Gevrey Chambertin, and historic tours of Beaune and Dijon. In 2013, we developed our Saone river cruise from St Jean de Losne to Lyon – a magnificent river tour through southern Burgundy and Beaujolais into the heart of the historic city.
We know that sometimes your itinerary is tight, so we have developed short tours so that you can get a brief taste of the region. This cruise is a wonderful 4 night / 5 day wine cruise featuring some of the most picturesque wine villages of the Cote d’Or along the famous Route des Grands Crus. The cruise includes a private visit to a winery in Meursault – tasting wine directly from the barrels, a visit to Beaune and the cellars of Joseph Drouhin and walking through the vines in Mercurey, stopping along the way for a tasting.
We have also developed a fabulous cruise along the Loire for 2018 – which has been so popular that we are cruising there in May and June of 2019 too!. Full details of all our wonderful tours can be found under Itineraries.
We love to showcase this fabulous area to our guests and have some wonderful memories of special weeks with so many of our passengers, many of whom have become good friends.
With such beautiful sites and stunning water ways on offer, what better way to enjoy them than by sipping a Grand cru or the local cremant de bourgogne on our beautiful teak deck or from our hot tub whilst watching the world slowly pass by. You’ll feel so at home… You’ll feel like you never want to leave!
