This summer we welcomed Mark Newton and his family back to the Barge Après Tout for another week cruising the canals of Burgundy. He has very kindly created this video for us, showing Caroline creating this delicious recipe using the incredible Dijon mushrooms that are available at this time of year.

This has been an amazing week! When we found you on the Internet, I had no idea of the fabulous people who came with it! From the moment we stepped aboard, we felt we were joining friends, to learn about where they lived and the fabulous history, food and wine of the area. You have exceeded our expectations! The food is amazing, the wine – all of it delicious, the service perfect and Glen really made the area come to life! We can’t thank you enough and can’t wait to see you again next September, when we return for a 2nd cruise!

This has been the wonderful memory filled trip ever! The food was so spectacular and I loved that Caroline was so happy to share her expertise! The very best part of our trip were the caring, experienced and knowledgeable staff that made us part of their very happy family. Many thanks Captain Rory – you’re a true seaman! Until we meet again!

Where to begin? The barge is top class. The attention to detail is better than any of the 5 star hotels that we have stayed in. The entire crew are both professional and friendly beyond belief. You at once feel welcome and very shortly begin to feel valued as a person as well as part of a family. An unfortunate side effect was that I developed an understanding of what it would been like to be royalty!
